*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Ustya River, a small tributary of the Horyn River, flows directly through the city of Rivne and plays an important role in the urban landscape. Like most small rivers in the region, the Ustya warms up well in the summer. During the swimming season, which peaks in July and August, the water temperature typically ranges between +20 and +24∘C, which is quite comfortable for swimming. Even in early summer, in June, the water can heat up to +19 degrees and above.
Despite the comfortable temperature, the main feature of the Ustya within Rivne's limits is the scarcity of official swimming opportunities. Due to significant anthropogenic pressure, which includes discharge of various effluents, the water quality in the river is often a concern. Water samples may show low levels of dissolved oxygen and non-compliance with sanitary standards. Therefore, city authorities and sanitary services regularly discourage or outright forbid swimming in the Ustya River within the city limits, including popular recreation zones.
Thus, while the Ustya River physically provides sufficiently warm water for summer bathing, the ecological situation within the city of Rivne makes such swimming potentially unsafe for health. Residents and visitors usually have to seek alternative, officially sanctioned swimming locations, such as Basiv Kut Lake or other water bodies outside the urban area.
