Location & Local Information
The Ustya River flows through the Rivne region of Ukraine, passing through several towns, including Rivne and Zdolbuniv. It is a calm, medium-sized river with a slow current and relatively shallow depth, which allows the water to warm up quickly during the summer months. In July and August, the temperature of the Ustya often reaches 21–24°C, making it comfortable for short swims and wading. After rain or during cloudy periods, the water can cool down slightly, but in general, it remains pleasant for recreation.
Swimming in the Ustya is most common near cleaner sections outside city centers, where the banks are grassy and the current is gentle. Local residents often come here to cool off, fish, or spend time outdoors by the water.
