*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Krymne Lake is one of the smaller yet picturesque reservoirs belonging to the Shatsk Lakes system in Volyn, located near the village of Melnyky. This karst lake has a relatively shallow maximum depth, reaching about 6 meters, although some sources mention greater depths. Due to its moderate depth and sandy bottom, Krymne Lake warms up quite quickly. During the peak summer season, in July and August, the temperature of the surface water layers becomes comfortable for prolonged swimming, typically rising above +20∘C.
Regarding swimming opportunities, Krymne Lake is a popular spot for quiet recreation among tourists and locals. Its advantages include gentle sandy shores alternating with chalky rises, and clear water. Swimming in the lake is permitted and widely practiced, especially in the minimally equipped beach areas where the bottom has been cleared. However, it should be noted that the official infrastructure here is less developed than, for example, at the neighboring Svityaz Lake, and some low-lying sections of the shore may be marshy.
Thus, Krymne Lake offers excellent conditions for recreation due to its warm and clean water, sandy bottom, and forest surroundings, making it ideal for those who prefer a tranquil vacation and fishing. However, since the lake is located within the protected zone of the Shatsk National Park, visitors should expect minimal infrastructure.
