*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Sluch River is a right-tributary of the Horyn, flowing through the Rivne, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions. It is a moderate river—typically 5 to 50 meters wide in most parts, sometimes wider downstream. Because of its moderate size and partly shaded banks, the water in the Sluch tends to warm in summer, but large stretches remain relatively cool. On hot July–August days, in shallow, sunlit bends, the surface may reach 21-24 °C, while in deeper pools or shaded reaches the water more likely stays closer to 17-20 °C. Earlier in the season (late spring or early summer) the river water is cooler and less comfortable for extended swimming.
Swimming in the Sluch is possible in selected spots—gentle banks, slower bends, and places where the current is mild and the bottom is suitable. Locals often use those areas for wading, cooling off, or light swimming. However, there are concerns: in some places the water quality fails to meet sanitary standards (for example in city beaches), and after rains the flow can strengthen or clarity drop, making conditions less safe. So picking known, clean, shallow spots with gradual entry remains the safer approach.
