*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Khomora River flows through the Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr regions in western Ukraine, eventually joining the Sluch River. This river is relatively narrow, typically ranging from 5 to 15 meters in width, and meanders through forested and agricultural landscapes. Due to its size and the surrounding vegetation, the water in the Khomora tends to remain cooler compared to larger rivers. During the summer months, particularly in July and August, the water temperature in shallow, sun-exposed areas may reach up to 22–24 °C. In deeper, shaded sections, the temperature is likely to be lower, around 18–20 °C. Early in the season, such as late spring, the water remains cooler, making swimming less comfortable.
Swimming in the Khomora is possible, especially in areas where the river is calm and the banks are accessible. However, it's important to be cautious. After rainfall, the water can become murky, and the current may strengthen, increasing the risk of accidents. Additionally, the river has experienced ecological challenges; in 2022, untreated wastewater from a nearby cardboard and paper enterprise led to significant pollution, causing irreversible damage to the local ecosystem. Therefore, it's advisable to choose swimming spots carefully, preferably in known, clean, and shallow areas, and to avoid swimming after heavy rains or in areas with strong currents.
