*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Bucha River is a small river in Kyiv Oblast that flows through the settlements of the Irpin region. As a small and shallow river, its water can warm up to quite comfortable temperatures during the hot summer period (July-August), often reaching the optimal swimming range of +22 to +24∘C. Theoretically, such a temperature makes the water suitable for prolonged swimming, which typically begins when the water is consistently above +18∘C.
However, the opportunities for swimming in the Bucha River are generally very limited and are officially not recommended. There are numerous reports of the river's ecological problems, including pollution, shallowing, and the discharge of sewage in some areas. Because of this, local authorities often impose an official ban on swimming in the water bodies of the Irpin region, including the Bucha River, for sanitary safety reasons.
Therefore, although natural conditions allow the water to warm to comfortable temperatures, actual swimming in the Bucha River carries health risks due to potential water contamination. The lack of official beaches and existing prohibitions make this river a place where it is best to refrain from swimming.
