*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Skärsjön in Halland County is a typical small Swedish lake with seasonal variations in surface temperature. In spring (April–May) the water usually warms from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as snowmelt and lengthening daylight increase stratification. Summer (June–August) brings the warmest conditions, commonly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) at the surface and on sunny days occasionally reaching around 24 °C (75 °F) in shallow bays. During autumn (September–November) temperatures fall back toward 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) as cooling and turnover occur. In winter the surface is typically near freezing, around 0 °C (32 °F), and the lake may be ice-covered for periods depending on the severity of the season.
Swimming at Skärsjön is generally allowed: Swedish public access rights mean people can usually enter the water, and summer months are the most comfortable for bathing. However, local conditions determine safety and suitability. Water quality, local signage, wind and weather, or occasional cyanobacterial blooms in warm, stagnant areas can affect whether swimming is advisable, and frozen or thin ice in winter makes entering the water dangerous. Visitors should heed any municipal or landowner notices, choose sheltered, deeper spots for cooler, clearer water, and take normal precautions for open‑water swimming.
