*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Embalse de los Bermejales, in Andalusia, shows clear seasonal swings in surface water temperature. In winter the surface typically chills to around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), spring brings a steady rise to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), summer surface temperatures commonly reach about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), and in autumn the water cools back to approximately 15–20 °C (59–68 °F). These figures vary with recent weather, wind, rainfall and reservoir depth: deeper water remains colder than the surface and sudden thermoclines can make temperatures drop quickly below the surface layer. Algal growth and inflows after storms can also influence perceived warmth and clarity.
Swimming in and around the Bermejales reservoir is a seasonal recreational activity but not uniformly unrestricted. In many parts people swim in summer because surface temperatures are comfortable, yet access and bathing can be limited by local regulations, water-quality issues or safety concerns such as submerged obstacles, steep banks and boat traffic. The reservoir also serves water-management purposes, so authorities sometimes impose prohibitions in particular zones or at certain times to protect supply and public safety. Visitors should therefore follow posted signs and municipal guidance before entering the water.
