*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Tange Lake (Danish: Tange Sø) is a large reservoir in the Central Denmark Region that experiences typical Danish seasonal temperature swings. In spring the surface temperature commonly rises from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as air warms and ice, if present, melts. Summer months bring the warmest water, often in the range of 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) at the surface and occasionally reaching 24–25 °C (75–77 °F) in shallow bays on hot spells. Autumn sees cooling back to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), and in winter temperatures can fall toward freezing, around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with ice possible in cold winters. Deeper or more shaded parts of the lake remain noticeably cooler than exposed shallows.
Swimming is generally possible in Tange Sø because it is a public freshwater reservoir and has accessible shorelines used for recreation, but local conditions determine suitability. Authorities may designate specific bathing areas and post warnings where currents, boat traffic, steep banks, or water quality issues such as algal blooms present hazards. Near the dam or intake structures there can be strong flows and swimming is discouraged. Visitors should follow local signage and any water quality updates before entering the water to ensure safe swimming.
