** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Seyfe Lake (Seyfe Gölü) is a shallow steppe lake in the Kırşehir region whose water temperature varies noticeably with the seasons. In winter the surface commonly falls near freezing, roughly 0–5 °C (32–41 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to about 5–15 °C (41–59 °F). Peak summer warmth can lift the lake into the low twenties, typically around 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) on warm days, and autumn sees a cooling trend back toward roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F). Because the lake is shallow and influenced by groundwater and evaporation, temperatures can change quickly with weather and may be cooler in reed-fringed or deeper pockets.
Swimming at Seyfe is generally not promoted and in many instances is restricted, primarily because the lake and its surroundings are managed for conservation. The shallow, marshy character of the site supports important birdlife and sensitive habitats; human bathing can disturb nesting and feeding birds, damage vegetation and affect water quality. Outside of official recreational facilities in the wider region, visitors should assume that swimming is discouraged or subject to local rules enforced to protect wildlife and habitat, and should check with local authorities before entering the water.
