*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Acıgöl in Denizli is a shallow, saline lake whose surface temperatures change noticeably with the seasons. In summer the water can warm to roughly 20–30 °C (68–86 °F) on average at the surface in warm spells, while late spring and early autumn temperatures typically sit in the 10–20 °C (50–68 °F) range. In winter the lake often cools to near freezing or to single-digit temperatures, commonly around 0–8 °C (32–46 °F). Because Acıgöl is shallow and subject to strong solar heating and evaporation, surface temperatures can vary rapidly with weather, wind and local inflows, and there can be marked differences across the basin.
Swimming at Acıgöl is not a widespread recreational practice. The lake’s elevated salinity and alkaline mineral content, together with ongoing mineral extraction in parts of the basin and frequently exposed muddy shores, make bathing uncomfortable or potentially irritating to skin and eyes. Access to some shoreline areas may also be limited for operational or safety reasons, so formal swimming facilities are generally absent. For those curious about a dip, local conditions and permissions should be checked in advance; the lake’s physical and industrial characteristics are the main reasons swimming is usually discouraged.
