** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Eber Lake (Eber Gölü) is a shallow inland lake in Afyonkarahisar province whose water temperature varies strongly with the seasons because of its low depth and continental climate. During winter the surface waters commonly fall to around 1–6 °C (34–43 °F). In spring, as the air warms and groundwater input increases, temperatures typically rise into the 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) range. Summer brings the warmest conditions, with shallow areas often reaching 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) on warm days, while autumn cooling returns the lake to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F). Because the lake is shallow and can have extensive reed beds and submerged vegetation, temperatures can vary considerably between open water and sheltered marshy zones.
Swimming is not a major or consistently supported activity at Eber Lake and is often limited in practice. Local authorities and conservationists frequently discourage widespread bathing because of ecological sensitivity, the presence of bird and plant habitats, seasonal water quality fluctuations, and muddy or unstable shorelines when levels change. In the warmest months some people may enter the water where access is safe and permitted, but formal beaches, lifeguards, and regular water-quality monitoring are generally uncommon; visitors should check local regulations and conditions before attempting to swim.
