** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago di Telese, near the spa town of Telese Terme in Campania, is a small inland lake whose water temperatures vary with the seasons. Typical surface temperatures in winter are around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), rising through spring to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). In summer the lake commonly reaches the low to high 20s °C, about 22–28 °C (72–82 °F), and in autumn it cools again to roughly 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). Because the area is influenced by thermal springs associated with the nearby baths, localised spots near outlets or springs can be a few degrees warmer than the general surface temperature, especially in colder months.
As for swimming, the activity is not promoted as an organised recreational pastime at Lago di Telese. The lake and surrounding wetlands are subject to environmental protection and water-quality considerations, and there are limited safety facilities, lifeguards or marked bathing zones. For these reasons local authorities often restrict or discourage swimming; occasional informal bathing by residents may occur in summer, but it is undertaken at personal risk. Visitors should check current signage and municipal guidance before entering the water.
