Gökçe Dam (Turkish: Gökçe Barajı) is a small reservoir near Yalova whose surface water temperatures vary seasonally in line with the Marmara region climate. In winter months the lake can cool to roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise into the range of about 8–16 °C (46–61 °F). Peak summer surface temperatures often reach around 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), though shallow bays can warm a few degrees higher on calm, sunny days. During autumn the water typically drops back toward 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). These figures are approximate and can vary by year, depth, time of day and recent weather.
Swimming at reservoirs like Gökçe is often discouraged or regulated rather than universally permitted.
