*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Embalse de la Pedrera, a reservoir in the province of Valencia, experiences typical Mediterranean seasonal variations in surface water temperature. In winter the reservoir usually cools to about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). Spring sees a steady rise to roughly 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) as air temperatures warm. Peak summer temperatures commonly range between 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), occasionally reaching up to around 28 °C (82 °F) on very hot days. In autumn the water cools again to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F). Actual temperatures can vary with depth, recent weather, and inflow from cooler mountain streams.
Swimming at Embalse de la Pedrera is practiced by visitors in warmer months, but whether it is formally allowed depends on local rules and occasional water-quality advisories. Some reservoirs restrict bathing to protect drinking-water supplies or to reduce safety risks from steep banks, deep drop-offs, submerged hazards and boat traffic. Additionally, episodes of algal (cyanobacterial) blooms can lead to temporary prohibitions. For these reasons, people should follow on-site signage and local authority guidance: recreational swimming may be possible, but it is subject to management decisions aimed at public health and water-resource protection.
