*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Adana (in Turkish — Adana) sits in a hot Mediterranean inland plain and the temperatures of nearby reservoirs and lakes reflect that climate. Surface water in the Seyhan Dam Lake and similar local impoundments is coolest in winter, typically around 8–15 °C (46–59 °F). In spring the surface warms to roughly 12–22 °C (54–72 °F) as air temperatures rise and solar heating increases. Peak summer temperatures commonly reach about 20–28 °C (68–82 °F), making the water comfortably warm on sunny days, while autumn brings a gradual cooling to roughly 15–24 °C (59–75 °F) before winter stratification and cooling resume.
Swimming opportunities in Adana’s lakes are mixed and depend on location, season and regulation. Some shoreline areas see informal bathing during warm months because the surface temperatures are suitable for swimming, but many reservoirs are managed for irrigation, flood control or drinking water and have restrictions. Official prohibitions or advisories are often in place because of safety hazards such as sudden depth changes, submerged structures, boat traffic and varying water quality. Where local authorities designate recreational zones, swimming is allowed and monitored; otherwise people may swim at their own risk despite potential legal and safety concerns.
