*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Ceyhan (Turkish: Ceyhan) is a district and river basin in Adana province that includes reservoirs and slower river stretches where standing water collects. Surface temperatures in these inland waters vary with the seasons and local conditions: in winter surface readings commonly fall in the range of about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), spring temperatures typically rise to roughly 12–22 °C (54–72 °F), summer surface values often reach about 22–30 °C (72–86 °F) on warm days, and autumn usually sees a decline to around 15–22 °C (59–72 °F). These numbers are approximate averages for shallow areas; deeper parts of reservoirs remain cooler and sudden inflows or releases from upstream dams can change temperatures quickly.
Swimming is sometimes possible in Ceyhan’s calmer, designated recreational spots during the warmer months when surface temperatures exceed roughly 20–22 °C (68–72 °F) and feel comfortable to most swimmers. However, whether swimming is allowed depends on local rules and safety factors: many reservoir margins and stretches near dam structures are officially restricted because of strong currents, sudden water releases, boat traffic and variable water quality from agricultural or urban runoff. Visitors should follow posted signage and municipal guidance; permitted swimming areas are chosen for both hygiene and safety rather than temperature alone.
