*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Kėdainiai (in Lithuanian - Kėdainiai) sits on the Nevėžis River and near a local reservoir often referred to locally as the Kėdainiai lake. Water temperatures there follow the typical Baltic inland pattern: in spring (April–May) the lake usually warms from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as ice melts and days lengthen. In summer (June–August) surface temperatures commonly range from roughly 16–24 °C (61–75 °F), with the warmest weeks sometimes reaching around 25 °C (77 °F) during heat spells. Autumn (September–October) sees cooling to about 8–16 °C (46–61 °F). In winter the surface is at or near freezing, roughly 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), and lakes frequently freeze over.
Swimming in the Kėdainiai lake or reservoir is generally possible in the warmer months and is allowed in most public areas, especially at designated bathing spots where water quality is monitored and basic safety measures may be in place. Restrictions can apply after heavy rain, when algal blooms occur, or when ice is present; municipal guidance and posted signs should be followed. Ice swimming is occasionally practiced by enthusiasts but requires proper precautions, safety personnel, or organized events because of the obvious hypothermia and access risks.
