Chivasso, a town in Piedmont on the Po River plain, is close to several small lakes and wetlands typical of the region. Water temperatures in nearby shallow lakes such as Candia or small local reservoirs vary seasonally and can warm relatively quickly in summer. Typical seasonal surface-temperature ranges are roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F) in winter, 8–18 °C (46–64 °F) in spring, 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) in summer, and 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) in autumn.
