Location & Local Information
Požega, located in the heart of the Slavonia region, is surrounded by gentle hills and smaller rivers and ponds rather than large water bodies. Because of this, the water temperature in local lakes and fishponds changes quickly with the seasons. In summer, many of these smaller waters warm up above 22 °C, creating pleasant conditions for swimming, while in spring and autumn the water remains cooler and is less often used for bathing.
Although Požega does not have a large river like the Drava or Sava flowing through it, locals enjoy swimming in nearby ponds and small reservoirs, especially during the hottest months.
