*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Razgrad lies on the Danubian Plain of northeastern Bulgaria, with local water bodies consisting mostly of the Beli Lom river, smaller tributaries, irrigation ponds and a few reservoirs. Seasonal water temperatures are typical for inland continental waters: winter (December–February) usually brings near‑freezing conditions around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F). In spring (March–May) waters warm from roughly 4–14 °C (39–57 °F). Summer (June–August) is when rivers and shallow lakes reach their highest temperatures, commonly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) and on warm spells some shallow ponds or slow stretches can approach 28 °C (82 °F). Autumn (September–November) sees cooling to about 8–18 °C (46–64 °F). Flow rate, depth and exposure change local values: shallow, slow or sunlit ponds warm fastest, while deeper or faster stretches remain cooler.
Swimming does occur locally but is not universally regulated. There are few formally supervised inland beaches in the Razgrad area, so many swimming spots are informal; some reservoirs or ponds prohibit bathing for safety, water‑supply or fishing reasons. Water quality and the absence of lifeguards are the main considerations, along with seasonal cold that limits comfortable swimming outside summer months. Visitors should obey local signage, check municipal guidance and use caution where bathing is unofficial.
