*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Levski, Bulgaria is near a number of small lakes and reservoirs whose surface temperatures follow the continental climate of the region. In spring the water is typically cold, about 4–15 °C (39–59 °F) as the lakes recover from winter cooling. During summer the surface warms to roughly 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) on average, with the warmest weeks occasionally pushing slightly higher during heat spells. Autumn sees a steady cooling to approximately 10–20 °C (50–68 °F) before winter conditions bring temperatures close to freezing, often around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and in some years forming ice cover.
Swimming in the lakes around Levski is sometimes possible in the warmer months but is not uniformly regulated or supervised. Some reservoirs are used mainly for irrigation, fishing or drinking-water protection and may have restrictions or signs prohibiting bathing; others are accessed informally by locals for recreational swimming when water quality and safety appear acceptable. There are generally no lifeguards, variable water quality monitoring and potential hazards such as steep banks, weeds or boat traffic, so swimming is allowed only where local rules and posted notices permit it and visitors should exercise caution and verify current conditions before entering the water.
