*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Vedea (Romanian: Vedea), a lowland river crossing South‑Muntenia, shows marked seasonal variation in water temperature driven by air temperature, flow and local depth. In winter the river often chills to near freezing, typically around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in open stretches. Spring warming produces values roughly between 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) as snowmelt and rains raise flows. In summer, shallow, slow sections can reach the warmest levels, commonly about 18–25 °C (64–77 °F), though shaded or deeper pools stay cooler. Autumn cooling brings temperatures back toward 8–16 °C (46–61 °F). Local conditions—recent weather, drought, or heavy rain—can push temperatures outside these ranges, and small tributaries or reservoirs connected to the Vedea may be warmer or colder.
Swimming in the Vedea is possible in many informal spots during the warmer months because there are relatively few designated bathing areas; however this does not mean unrestricted or consistently safe swimming. Water quality can be affected by agricultural runoff, occasional sewage discharges or algal growth, and safety hazards such as strong currents, submerged debris and lack of lifeguards can apply. Local authorities or signs may prohibit bathing at specific points, so swimmers should check local advisories, avoid swimming after heavy rains, and use caution when entering the river.
