The Nitelva (Norwegian: Nitelva) is a lowland river in Akershus County whose water temperature varies considerably through the year. In winter the river commonly sits near freezing, roughly 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), while spring thaw typically raises temperatures into the 2–8 °C (36–46 °F) range. During warm summers some stretches of Nitelva can reach about 14–22 °C (57–72 °F) on sunny days, and in autumn the river cools again to roughly 6–12 °C (43–54 °F). Local conditions such as shading, depth, flow rate and recent weather make spot-to-spot variation normal, so these figures are approximate rather than exact measurements.
