*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Gudenå (Danish: Gudenå) is Denmark’s longest river and its water temperature follows the seasonal rhythm typical of inland Danish waterways. In winter the river often sits near freezing, roughly 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), while spring temperatures commonly climb to about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as snowmelt and rain warm the flow. In summer the milder months usually bring the warmest surface readings, typically in the range of 16–22 °C (61–72 °F), and in autumn temperatures decline again to around 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) as air temperatures cool. Local conditions such as depth, flow rate and shading by vegetation can produce noticeable variation from these averages at specific swimming spots.
Swimming in the Gudenå is generally possible and is a popular activity in summer where safe, officially maintained bathing sites or gentle banks exist. Municipal water quality monitoring is carried out in many places, and good ecological status in several stretches makes recreational use feasible. However, swimmers should observe local signs and advisories because currents, boat traffic, underwater obstacles and occasional algal growth can create hazards; water quality and safety can vary along the river so checking local information before going in is recommended.
