*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Horsens, a town in the Central Denmark Region, lies beside Horsens Fjord and near several small lakes, where water temperature varies with season, depth and wind. Typical lake and sheltered fjord surface temperatures range roughly from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) in spring, peak around 15–22 °C (59–72 °F) in summer, fall back to roughly 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) in autumn, and hover near 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in winter. Shallow inland waters and sheltered bays warm faster and can reach the upper end of these ranges in calm summers, while deeper or wind-exposed areas remain cooler. Short-term weather, sunlight and freshwater inflows also cause noticeable local variation.
Swimming is generally allowed in Horsens at public beaches, bathing areas and many lakes, and is popular in summer when temperatures are mild. The municipality and local authorities monitor bathing water quality in warmer months and post warnings if algae blooms or pollution occur; such advisories are the main reason access may be temporarily restricted. Lifeguards are present at some designated spots during peak season, but where there are no facilities swimmers should take normal precautions regarding currents, visibility and temperature.
