*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Sribne Ozero (Silver Lake) in the Kirovohrad Oblast, formed in a former granite quarry, is renowned for its clean, clear water, which is even said to possess healing properties. Thanks to its relative shallowness in the near-shore area, especially during the summer, the water quickly warms up to comfortable swimming temperatures, often reaching the optimal 22−24∘C and above. The best time for a comfortable dip is the peak of summer (July–August). However, as with most such bodies of water, the water at greater depths can remain cool, and the lake is notably deep, reaching up to 30 meters in some spots.
Swimming opportunities at Sribne Ozero have unique features, as its banks and bottom primarily consist of granite stones of various sizes, which can be sharp, so caution is advised. Moreover, a large part of the perimeter is surrounded by cliffs where the depth sharply increases right near the shore. Therefore, there are only a few designated spots for safe entry into the water where the bottom can be felt for a short distance from the bank.
Overall, Sribne Ozero is a popular leisure destination. It attracts not only those seeking clean water and relaxation but also thrill-seekers who enjoy diving into the water from the high (5-6 meter) cliffs. Thus, while it is not a traditional beach, there are opportunities for swimming and health benefits in its living water, but they require careful attention due to the unique nature of the bottom and banks.
