*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Berestuvate Lake in the Kirovohrad Oblast is a unique, and even mystical, natural landmark rather than a typical summer swimming spot. Its main feature is the extremely low water temperature, which, regardless of the season and summer heat, is maintained at approximately 12−13∘C. Locals attest that even on the hottest days, the water is so cold that prolonged exposure is impossible. This abnormally low temperature is likely explained by powerful feeding from cold underground springs.
Given the water temperature, opportunities for normal, recreational swimming at Berestuvate Lake are virtually non-existent. Water at only 12−13∘C is icy and can pose a serious health risk to an unprepared person, potentially leading to rapid hypothermia and vascular spasm. Furthermore, the unknown, likely great depth of the lake (rumored to have no defined bottom) and the presence of methane gas accumulating in the water column further elevate the risks for those who dare to enter.
Thus, Berestuvate is more a place for contemplation, ecotourism, and study of unique natural phenomena than for recreation involving swimming. The low temperature, lack of infrastructure for mass recreation, and accompanying mystical stories compel most visitors to limit themselves to viewing this enigmatic lake from the shore.
