** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Reschensee (Italian: Lago di Resia) is a high‑altitude reservoir in the Trentino‑Alto Adige/Südtirol region whose water stays relatively cold year‑round. Typical seasonal surface temperatures range from around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in winter when the lake often freezes, to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) in spring and autumn. In summer the warmest surface readings are usually in the range of about 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) on sunnier, calm days, though average summer temperatures commonly sit in the lower part of that band because of the elevation and inflow of mountain water.
Swimming is generally possible in open sections of the reservoir during the warmer months, but it is limited by cold water, variable weather and local safety rules. Because Reschensee is a managed hydroelectric reservoir, there are areas close to dams, intakes and boating lanes where access is restricted and warning signs should be observed. Even where swimming is allowed, the cool temperatures can produce cold‑water shock and reduce endurance, so people should be cautious, avoid solitary long swims, and heed local advisories. In winter the frozen surface attracts other activities rather than bathing.
