*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Ozero Pidkova is a relatively shallow lake (average depth around 1.6 m, maximum about 2.5 m) with a bottom made up mostly of muddy or silty deposits. Because of its modest depth and exposure, in warm summer months (July-August) the upper layers of water in sunny spots likely warm up to somewhere around 20-24 °C, which can be pleasant for swimming, especially near the shore. However, deeper parts (toward that 2.5 m max) will remain cooler, and water clarity or muddiness of the bottom—plus aquatic vegetation—can affect the comfort and safety of swimming.
Outside of the warmest period, in late spring or early autumn, the water almost certainly falls into the range of 12-16 °C, which feels cold to many people, especially for prolonged swimming. In addition, because the lake is used for recreational/angling purposes, shore facilities, clean access, and maintained banks play a role: where there are well-kept approaches, swimming is more comfortable, but some parts may be overgrown or muddy, which makes entry awkward.
So overall, Pidkova lake is likely to be swim-friendly during mid- to late summer, in well-exposed shallow spots, but less so outside of that. If you go there, best to pick a warm, sunny day, choose a shallow area with gently sloping bottom, and be ready for cooler deeper water.
