Lake Vesuvius in Ohio follows the seasonal temperature patterns typical of small inland reservoirs in the region. Surface water temperatures in winter commonly sit just above freezing, roughly 33–40°F (1–4°C), and ice can form on the shallows. In spring the lake warms from about 40–60°F (4–16°C) as inflows and air temperatures rise.
