Swimming in such conditions is perfect for those seeking relaxation and comfort in the water. These waters are often preferred for relaxation in hot weather, as the water temperature does not cool the body significantly. However, it is important to remember that in such warm waters, caution is necessary, as prolonged exposure without rest can lead to overheating. *** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Tuz in Adana, not to be confused with the larger Salt Lake in central Turkey, is a small saline lake located in a warm Mediterranean climate. The region experiences hot summers and mild winters, which strongly influence the lake’s water temperature. In winter, the water averages around 8–12 °C, rising to 16–20 °C in spring. During the peak of summer, surface temperatures can reach 25–30 °C due to high air temperatures and intense sunlight. In autumn, the lake gradually cools again to about 15–18 °C. The water is often shallow and becomes noticeably warmer near the edges during sunny days.
Swimming in Lake Tuz is generally not recommended or common, mainly because of its high salinity and occasional muddy or soft lakebed. The salt concentration can cause buoyancy similar to that of the Dead Sea, but also irritate the skin and eyes. Most visitors come to enjoy the scenery, take photos, or experience the mineral-rich mud, which is sometimes used for natural skin treatments. The lake is better suited for relaxation and nature observation rather than for swimming, offering a peaceful setting that reflects the dry and sunny climate of the Adana region.
