*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Sørup (Danish: Sørup Sø) is a small freshwater lake in the Region of Southern Denmark where seasonal water temperatures follow the typical pattern for Danish lowland lakes. In spring (March–May) surface temperatures commonly range from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as the water slowly warms after winter. In summer (June–August) temperatures often reach roughly 15–22 °C (59–72 °F), with the warmest weeks occasionally touching the upper end of that band on calm, sunny days. Autumn brings cooling to approximately 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), and winter surface values are frequently near or just above freezing, around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with occasional ice cover during cold spells.
Swimming in Sørup Sø is generally possible and commonly practiced since many Danish lakes are used for recreation, and public access to shorelines is typical; however, permission can be restricted where land is privately owned or where local rules apply. Practical limitations include low temperatures outside the warm months, variable water clarity and vegetation, and occasional algal or cyanobacterial blooms in late summer that may lead to temporary advisories. There are usually no lifeguards, so swimmers should judge conditions, heed local signage, and take normal safety precautions.
