*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Ollerup (Danish: Ollerup Sø) is a small inland lake in the Region of Southern Denmark where water temperatures follow the typical seasonal pattern for Danish lakes. In winter months the surface temperature commonly falls to around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F). Spring brings a gradual rise, often reaching about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) by late spring. The warmest period is usually in July and August, when temperatures typically peak between 16–22 °C (61–72 °F), making the lake most comfortable for bathing. During autumn the water cools again to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), with variability depending on weather and depth.
Swimming at Ollerup Sø is generally allowed and used by locals, particularly in summer when conditions are mild. Access to the shoreline and modest beach areas makes recreational swimming practical, and local authorities monitor water quality and will post advisories if there are health concerns or algal blooms. Cold-water swimming is possible outside the warm season but carries risks such as cold shock and reduced buoyancy; swimmers should exercise caution, use appropriate clothing, and follow any posted guidance or restrictions.
