** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago di Rascino is a small, shallow karstic lake on the Rascino plateau in Lazio. Because of its altitude and modest depth, water temperatures vary markedly with the seasons. In winter the surface often sits near freezing, about 0–6 °C (32–43 °F). Spring warming brings temperatures roughly into the 6–14 °C range (43–57 °F) as meltwater and spring rains refresh the basin. In summer, on warmer sunny periods, the lake can reach approximately 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) at the surface, though cooler layers and nights keep it from matching lowland beach warmth. By autumn the water typically cools again to around 8–16 °C (46–61 °F).
Swimming is not a prominent or officially organized activity at Lago di Rascino. There are few if any lifeguarded beaches or facilities, and the lake lies within a sensitive natural area where conservation measures, shallow vegetation and variable water levels can make bathing inadvisable; local authorities and signage may discourage or restrict access to protect wildlife and the fragile shoreline. In addition, the relatively cool temperatures for much of the year and occasional strong underwater vegetation or muddy shallows reduce the appeal and safety of open-water swimming compared with coastal or managed inland sites. Visitors should follow posted rules and local guidance.
