** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Eymir Lake (Eymir Gölü) is a relatively small, shallow lake near Ankara whose surface water temperatures vary noticeably through the year. In winter the lake often sits close to freezing, commonly around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F). Summer months can warm surface waters further, typically reaching 16–24 °C (61–75 °F) on warm days in sheltered shallows, though deeper or wind-exposed areas remain cooler. In autumn temperatures fall back toward the 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) range as air temperatures drop. These ranges are approximate and depend on recent weather, depth, and wind; thermal stratification is generally weak because the lake is small and frequently mixed by wind.
Public swimming at Eymir is not a routine activity and is generally discouraged or restricted by local management for several reasons. The area is managed for recreation, research and natural values, and authorities cite water-quality protection, habitat conservation for birds and plants, and visitor safety as grounds for limiting bathing. In addition, there are few lifeguarded or officially equipped swimming zones, and sudden cold pockets or underwater vegetation can present hazards. Visitors typically enjoy the lake from its walking and cycling paths, while swimming is uncommon and subject to local rules and seasonal advisories.
