*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lac Monroe, situated within Mont-Tremblant National Park in Quebec, is a long, narrow lake whose waters are fed by the mountainous, forested terrain of the Laurentians. Due to the deep nature of the lake and its source, the water remains relatively cool. In the peak summer months, surface temperatures generally warm up to a range suitable for quick dips, typically peaking around 16∘C to 20∘C (61∘F to 68∘F), with late July and August being the warmest period. In the winter, the water cools dramatically, dropping to near freezing, generally ranging from 0∘C to 5∘C (32∘F to 41∘F), and the lake is frozen over.
Swimming is widely permitted and encouraged at Lac Monroe, with Mont-Tremblant National Park (SÉPAQ) specifically promoting its beach areas, such as Plage de la Crémaillère, for swimming and paddling. These beautiful, secluded beaches offer calm, clear waters and are a major recreational draw, confirming swimming is an expected activity. However, SÉPAQ policy states that swimming on the lake's beaches is unsupervised, meaning there are no official lifeguards on duty. All swimming is strictly at one's own risk, and visitors must be cautious of the refreshingly cold temperatures and the general hazards of a natural, wild environment.
