Jazierka lásky, also known as the Lakes of Love, are a group of small ponds located near Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras. Because of their small size and shallow depth, the water here tends to warm up more quickly than in the larger alpine lakes. In summer, the temperature can reach pleasant levels for cooling your feet or briefly dipping, but it is usually still on the cooler side compared to lowland lakes. Outside of the warmest months, the water remains quite cold, reflecting the mountain environment.
These lakes are not primarily intended for swimming, and most visitors enjoy them for relaxation, walking, or simply sitting by the shore. The clear water and surrounding scenery make them a peaceful spot rather than a bathing destination. Still, on hot summer days, it is common to see people wading in the shallows to refresh themselves, though extended swimming is not typical here.
