Beymelek Lagoon (Beymelek Lagünü) is a shallow coastal lagoon near Antalya whose water temperature follows the Mediterranean seasonal cycle but is moderated by its sheltered, shallow character. In winter months (December–February) surface temperatures typically sit around 12–17 °C (54–63 °F). Spring (March–May) brings a gradual rise to roughly 15–22 °C (59–72 °F). In summer (June–August) the lagoon can warm substantially, often reaching about 24–30 °C (75–86 °F) in shallower areas, while autumn (September–November) sees cooling toward 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). Being relatively shallow and protected, the lagoon’s temperature can change more quickly day to day than open sea waters.
