** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Trostianets is a rural village in the Stryi Raion of Lviv Oblast, in western Ukraine. The climate is moderately continental, with warm summers but nights that can be cooler, plus rainfall that can lower water or increase turbidity. Natural water bodies around such villages tend to be small ponds, brooks, or small river branches rather than large lakes. Because of the elevation, shade from trees, possibly springs feeding into water bodies, those waters stay relatively cool even in summer.
In warm summer months, in shallow sun-exposed ponds or slow-flowing streams near Trostianets, surface water might warm up to perhaps 18-22 °C, but likely less, especially if depth increases, there’s tree cover, or flow is brisk. Deeper spots or water bodies fed by cold springs will remain in the lower teens or even cooler for much of the season.
As for swimming: there probably are local spots where people go to cool off in summer, especially in shallow ponds or gentle streams; refreshing dips are plausible. However, for comfortable swimming (longer stays, laps) conditions may be marginal: water might be cold for many, bottoms can be muddy or uneven, accessibility to safe shores may be limited, and water quality is uncertain. So swimming in Trostianets is likely possible, but best in mid- to late-summer, and more for refreshment than serious aquatic activity.
