Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Tarnoruds'ke Reservoir, located on the Zbruch River (a tributary of the Dniester), is situated in a moderate climate zone with warm summers. This artificial body of water holds a significant mass of water in the river channel. Due to this fact and favorable summer air temperatures, the water temperature in the reservoir becomes quite comfortable for swimming during the peak season. In July and August, the surface water and shallow areas generally warm up to 22−25∘C, creating excellent conditions for recreation. In the spring and autumn months, the water is, naturally, much cooler.
The swimming opportunities at the Tarnoruds'ke Reservoir are typical for most such water bodies: there are areas with gentle banks that are used as informal or local beaches. The reservoir offers calm water without a strong current, which significantly increases safety for swimmers and makes it suitable for family recreation. It is a popular spot for outdoor leisure, where, in addition to swimming, one can enjoy fishing and simply appreciate the picturesque views of the Zbruch River.
