Derazhnya lies along the Vovk River, a tributary of the Southern Bug, flowing through a temperate climate region with warm summers. In July and August, the shallow, sunlit areas of the river near Derazhnya may warm to around 22-25 °C, especially in slow-flowing bends. In deeper or faster sections, the water likely remains cooler — around 18-20 °C or slightly lower. Early in the season (late spring/early summer), temperatures would be lower, perhaps 12-16 °C, making swimming more of a refreshing dip than a long swim.
