*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Malazgirt (in Turkish - Malazgirt) is a highland district in Muş province where small lakes and ponds reflect the region’s continental climate. Because of the elevation and long, cold winters, surface water temperatures remain low for much of the year: in winter lakes often freeze or sit at around 0 °C (32 °F) at the surface, spring thaw brings temperatures up into the roughly 4–12 °C range (39–54 °F), and the warmest months typically see surface temperatures between about 15–22 °C (59–72 °F). In autumn the water cools again, generally falling to around 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). These are approximate seasonal ranges and can vary with depth, weather and specific lake characteristics.
Swimming in Malazgirt’s lakes is not widely organized; recreational bathing is theoretically possible during the warmest part of summer when surface temperatures approach the mid-to-high teens Celsius, but water remains cool compared with lowland or coastal swimming spots. Local authorities and landowners may restrict access in some areas, and safety concerns such as sudden depth changes, strong undercurrents, cold-water shock and lack of lifeguards or facilities make unsupervised swimming inadvisable except where designated swimming areas exist and conditions are checked.
