*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Kırşehir (in Turkish - Kırşehir) lies on the Central Anatolian plateau and any lakes in its vicinity show marked seasonal variation in surface water temperature. In spring (March–May) lake temperatures typically rise from about 5–15 °C (41–59 °F) as ice and cold runoff diminish. In summer (June–August) shallow areas commonly warm to around 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), with the warmest afternoons occasionally pushing temperatures a degree or two higher. Autumn (September–November) brings a steady cooling to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), and in winter (December–February) waters hover around freezing to about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with partial icing possible in cold spells.
Swimming opportunities are therefore seasonal: informal bathing and recreational swimming are generally possible and most comfortable during the warmest weeks of summer when surface temperatures are in the low to mid‑20s °C (around 70–80 °F). However, many local lakes are not designated public beaches, and access, water quality, submerged hazards and lack of lifeguards can restrict safe swimming. Outside the summer months the water is too cold for routine recreational swimming and may be unsafe due to ice or sudden temperature-related shock. Visitors should check local guidance and conditions before entering the water.
