* Current - Actual water temperature value
** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Tordesillas, in Castile and León, sits beside the Duero and is close to a number of slow-flowing stretches and reservoirs that behave like small lakes. Water temperature in these lake-like areas follows a strong seasonal pattern: in winter the surface typically cools to around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), spring brings a gradual rise to roughly 8–16 °C (46–61 °F), summer often yields the warmest conditions at about 18–24 °C (64–75 °F), and autumn sees a fall back toward 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). These ranges vary year to year with rainfall, air temperature and the depth and flow of the water body, so local readings can differ from the averages given here.
Swimming is possible in some of the calmer, designated spots near Tordesillas but it is not universally allowed across all parts of the river and reservoirs. Authorities may restrict access for safety reasons—strong currents near channels or infrastructure, sudden depth changes, poor water quality after heavy rains, or the absence of lifeguards—and signage and local rules should always be followed. During summer, when surface temperatures are highest and monitored areas are open, recreational swimming is most common; outside that season colder water and regulatory limits make bathing less advisable.
