*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Segovia (in Spanish - Segovia), a province in the autonomous community of Castile and León, contains several reservoirs and small mountain lakes where conditions for bathing and recreation vary with altitude and season. Surface water temperatures in these inland bodies typically range from about 2–8 °C (36–46 °F) in winter, rise to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) during spring, reach summer peaks commonly between 18–24 °C (64–75 °F), and fall back to around 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) in autumn. Cooler temperatures are common at higher-elevation reservoirs and shaded valleys, while lower altitude embalses can warm more quickly in prolonged heat. These figures are approximate averages; short-term weather, recent rainfall, and reservoir depth strongly influence actual readings.
Swimming opportunities depend on the specific reservoir or lake and on local regulation. Some embalses around Segovia offer designated bathing areas in summer when water quality and safety are monitored, often with informal lifeguard presence, whereas others prohibit bathing to protect drinking-water supplies, for safety reasons, or because of poor water quality. Visitors should follow posted signs and municipal rules: where permitted, summer months provide the most comfortable swimming temperatures, while spring and autumn waters remain brisk and winter bathing is generally cold and not recommended for extended immersion.
