** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Alba de Tormes (in Spanish: Alba de Tormes) is a small town in the province of Salamanca, Castile and León, located on the Tormes River and close to small reservoirs and river pools used for irrigation and local recreation. Water temperatures in these inland waters are strongly seasonal: in winter the surface typically ranges from about 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), spring sees warming to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), summer can bring the warmest conditions around 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) on shallow stretches and sheltered reservoirs, and autumn cools again to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Shallow, sun-exposed areas heat fastest while deeper or flowing sections remain cooler.
Swimming opportunities depend on location and season rather than being universally provided. There is no large, consistently monitored lakeside bathing area in the immediate town, so official swimming may be restricted at some reservoirs for reasons of water management, quality and safety. Where designated river beaches or municipal bathing sites exist nearby, authorities typically allow swimming during warmer months when water quality is tested and lifeguards or signage are present. In many spots informal bathing occurs, but it is discouraged where there are no safety measures, fluctuating levels, underwater hazards or uses related to irrigation and drinking-water supply. Always follow local signs and municipal guidance before entering the water.
