*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Deva, a city in western Romania, is served by several small lakes and reservoirs in the surrounding area whose surface temperatures follow a familiar seasonal pattern. In spring the water typically ranges from about 8–18 °C (46–64 °F) as air temperatures warm; in summer it commonly reaches 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) with peak days occasionally pushing surface readings into the mid- to high-20s °C (77–82 °F). During autumn cooling returns and temperatures usually fall to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), while in winter surfaces approach freezing and may be around 0–6 °C (32–43 °F) depending on ice cover and local weather.
Swimming is generally possible in the Deva area but only where local authorities or landowners designate bathing zones and safety provisions exist. During the warm months organized or popular spots permit recreational swimming because temperatures become comfortable and lifeguards or signage are provided; outside of these times cold water, poor visibility, underwater hazards, variable currents, or water-management rules can make swimming unsafe or prohibited. Visitors should follow posted rules, check water-quality and safety information locally, and treat unmarked or industrial reservoirs as unsuitable for casual bathing.
