Balatonfüred, located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, is one of the lake’s most famous resort towns. The water temperature here in summer generally ranges between 23–26°C, with the warmest period in late July and early August. Since the northern shore is somewhat deeper than the southern side, the lake warms up a little more slowly in spring, but in summer the water remains comfortably warm for swimming and other activities.
