*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Næstved (Danish: Næstved) in Region Zealand sits amid low hills, rivers and a number of lakes and fjord-like inlets, where water temperature varies seasonally and by depth. Typical lake temperatures in the area range from near freezing in winter, about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), to spring values of roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as ice melts and the water warms. In summer the surface of shallower lakes often reaches 16–22 °C (61–72 °F), and during unusually warm periods can climb to around 24 °C (75 °F). In autumn the water cools again, commonly falling to 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as air temperatures drop and turnover begins. Local variations depend on lake depth, sheltered spots, inflow from rivers and recent weather.
Swimming is generally allowed at public bathing areas and informal spots along lakes and fjords, and many residents and visitors swim in summer when temperatures are most comfortable. Municipal authorities monitor bathing water quality and post advisories if algal blooms, pollution or safety hazards occur, so swimmers are advised to follow local notices. Even when swimming is permitted, cold water in spring and autumn increases risk of cold shock and reduced swimming ability, and there are usually no lifeguards outside formal beaches, so caution and awareness of conditions are recommended.
